EPCOR Alberta
EPCOR Alberta helps large commercial, industrial, institutional and municipal customers manage financial risk with its innovative asset development opportunities and consulting services. As a new entrant into the Calgary energy market, EPCOR Alberta engaged Blueprint to articulate a value proposition and manage the development of marketing communications materials.

EPCOR is an established brand in Edmonton and Northern Alberta with a clear strategy in place. Following a reorganization into regional business units, EPCOR Alberta needed to crystallize the unique value it offers customers and relate it to the larger EPCOR position overall. Blueprint began with a review of existing customer research, communications materials and the strategic plan for EPCOR. Competitors’ marketing messages and communications materials were also investigated. With a sense of the EPCOR brand and the Alberta vision, we interviewed internal stakeholders in Canada and the Pacific Northwest to understand the opportunities and challenges facing the division. The final result was a positioning statement and key messages that are now incorporated into marketing campaigns and internal communications.
